Pallavi Sharda is an actress and a trained Bharatha Natyam dancer. She is the most qualified IPL anchor who holds Bachelor’s degrees in Media and Communications, Law, and Diploma in Modern Languages (French) from the University of Melbourne. Pallavi was crowned ‘Miss India Australia’ in Sydney in March 2010.

She is the daughter of Dr. Hema Sharda and Dr. Nalin Kant Sharda who are both IIT alumni and PhD in science and engineering. Pallavi shifted from Melbourne to Mumbai in 2010. She is a keynote speaker on women empowerment in India.

Pallavi’s Bollywood career started with a minor role in Karan Johar‘s directed movie My Name Is Khan (2010). She made her Australian film debut in 2013 with a comedy film Save Your Legs.

She appeared as Gayatri Reddy in the movie Heroine (2012). Sharda portrayed a woman named Tara Sharma whose car is stolen by a petty thief in Abhinav Kashyap‘s directed film Besharam (2013). Sharda has portrayed the character of Sitara in the film Hawaizaada (2015).   She had a special appearance in the film Unindian (2015).

Her upcoming movie is Begum Jaan that is scheduled for release on 14 April 2017.
